One Step at a Time

      Consider this:

Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.  I have sworn and have
confirmed it, that I will observer your righteous judgments...
(Psm.119.105, 106)

The story goes, that when traveling in the dark, they had a lamp tied to the calf of one leg so they could see to walk only one step at a time.
I know what I have shown you the past few days is overwhelming, especially to those of you come out of the church world where they teach everything is easy and free, but remember: God is patient, merciful, and will not lay on you more than you can do, as Paul says:

'There has not temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God
is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able; but
will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear
        it...
(1 Cor.10.13)

I have laid upon you the goal, but there is no way you are going to accomplish this quickly; it will take time.   Julia and I were years getting through this, but then we had no one to guide us, we simply stumbled and fumbled our way through until we finally began to see the light and what our path should be.
So do not be discouraged, but thank God that He has shown you the Way to eternal life and to peace, and joy, and confidence in Him.   Do this: go read Heb.10.32-39 and see how that all who come to God go through this pain...
Please communicate and I will pray with you, and believe me, there is nothing you will suffer that we have not suffered...loss of family, loss off friends, lonliness, rejection, and all the rest, but you have us to help, and our prayers are heard because we have accomplished all that God requires and we are still alive (smile).  It is a day by day vocation...even minute by minute walk sometimes as we bring our bodies and minds into subjection, and take control of our lives to please God.
