Parable of the Sower

Sabbath, March 6, 2010

I have watched people come and go for over 53 years; when they are confronted with the truth, the Parable of the Sower comes into play; those who first hear it receive it with joy, but as Jesus said their families would be their enemy, so it happens and they fall away; then some come who pass through the first but then are confronted with persecution from brethren and friends, and they fall away; then comes the third group; they are those who hear the Word but fall away when they learn that they must give up their wealth to become disciples of Jesus Christ, THEN there is the last group who are willing to pay the prince who are willing to give their all as Jesus sais:

36Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law? 37And he said unto him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 38This is the great and first commandment.   (Mt.22.36-38)

There are so many things to keep people out of the laceType w:st="on">KingdomlaceType> of laceName w:st="on">GodlaceName> because folks just will not go all the way…as Jesus said again:

13Enter you in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby. 14For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leads unto life, and few are they that find it.   (Mt.7.13,14)

Question is, which are you?

Elijah
